Bored-Again Christian Podcast
Man, I’m having a ton of great new blogs find their way into my RSS Feeds this week. The latest is a great podcast called Bored-Again Christian which has a weekly podcast with some Christian artists that aren’t lame and I’ve found myself blasting some of these tunes on my iPod. For a nice change I’ve even shared some of these artists with my non-Christian friends without feeling lame.

Nord Report’s Top 40 of 2007
Wow, I’m in music heaven this weekend! After finding The Blah Blah earlier this week my iPod got a second boost this morning when I came across a site called Nord Report. The blog isn’t updated often but this week he posted his Top 40 of 2007 and I’m stoked to have a ton of new songs to listen to this weekend. Another post that caught my attention is called What Be Playin’ On Ye Ol’ iPod and while it’s from way back in August there are some great tunes there as well.
While this blog doesn’t have MP3’s like The Blah Blah it does have links to YouTube clips for the videos for most of these songs which makes Nord Report a blog that’s definitely worth checking out.
Christian Music Superbowl
I’ve never been a huge fan of Christian music because it’s a lot like Canadian television – both usually fail to catch my interest but I feel like I should support both despite the fact neither really interest me. In fact, if I’m going to be brutally honest, both Christian music and Canadian television bore me. Even though I dislike Christian music as a genre I’m constantly looking for artists I like so I was stoked to come across a blog called “The Blah Blah” which highlights some Christian artists I haven’t heard of before while being wrote by someone having a similar struggle in embracing Christian music.
Something else that snagged my attention with this blog is they have MP3’s for artists I wouldn’t have normally heard of and a lot of times these artists are Christians who may have a secular release. One of my favourite finds on the blog so far has been the group Blyss (now known as Lifehouse) and their song You Can Shake The Mountains.
Another reason to check out The Blah Blah is because they are running a great contest right now called Christian Music Superbowl.
Josh Garrels
I have a hard time getting into Christian artists so I’m stoked to find two artists this summer that I can blast from my iPod. The first was Jeremy Camp (who I’ve gotten my buddies hooked on as well) and the latest is a new artist called Josh Garrels. His official site has some free MP3’s you can download and I embedded a YouTube clip of my favourite song (Joyful Boy ) so that you can check him out doing a live performance. Enjoy!
